𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖕𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖝 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖙𝖜𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖞-𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖊: Definitely feels like somebody took a '70s airport paperback potboiler and just emptied its entire contents onto the screen. The movie spends an unbelievable amount of time on Kirk Douglas's character to an extent that almost borders on self-parody, but once things really get rolling with the psychic plot in the third act it ends on a high note. Kind of blew my own mind when I realized that Amy Irving's character was almost certainly an inspiration for Kitty Pryde in the '80s X-Men comics.
