HOOPTOBER 3.0 NIGHT TWELVE: Absolutely insane '80s body horror from Hooper, boosted by a Brad Dourif performance turned up to 11. Reminds me a bit of what Shinya Tsukamoto pulled off with the Tetsuo films, turning his mild-mannered protagonist into a reluctant ticking time-bomb of violence and destruction, in this case keying off of America's collective Cold War nuclear paranoia instead of Japan's post-trauma as a culture where the bomb actually dropped for real.
