HOOPTOBER 3.0 NIGHT THIRTY-ONE: It's a real come-down from the original Jaws, at times almost feeling like if somebody had dropped a third-rate teen sex comedy into the middle of a Jaws knockoff. The climax is so clearly attempting to duplicate and surpass the explosive finale of the original that it becomes absolutely ridiculous, and it's easy to see why Roy Scheider (curiously sidelined for most of the movie) bowed out of the later sequels.
