HOOPTOBER 4.0 NIGHT THIRTY-ONE + PODCAST MACABRE 2025 43. Written/directed by a woman As religious horror-thrillers set in convents with demonic pregnancy themes go, I think I liked this one a *bit* more than IMMACULATE in terms of how it developed them while also incorporating historical detail about Italy's student protest movements and the church's fear of a secular society. Ironically, the main thing that I thought was holding this one back was the necessity of tying it back to the original OMEN film, which I always thought were kind of silly.
