2019 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 14: 50s SCIENCE FICTION WEEK There's a kind of strange dream-logic that permeates this movie that made it hard for me to get a handle on at first. To be sure, the 1950s were a very different time than today, but at the same time I was astounded by the scene where the main character's friends have an apparent corpse laid out on their pool table and everyone is acting very nonchalant, like this is a normal thing to have happen and not immediately call the local authorities about.
