1ST ANNUAL CRITERION CHALLENGE WEEK 7: SAFDIE BROS CLOSET PICKS I think this one might not have been entirely ideal as a My First Bresson, at least insofar as the embrace of minimalism becomes perhaps a little bit monotonous as our protagonist slowly develops and refines his escape plan bit by bit over the course of the film. Having said that, I think the visual storytelling works really well by accounting for every detail and showing every step in the plan, even if these are things that would be shorthanded by a different storyteller.
