2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 49: PAM GRIER WEEK A terrific blaxploitation thriller with a fine performance by Grier as a nurse-turned-vigilante. I like how the movie takes its time to make sure that we hate the villains as much as possible, to make Coffy's revenge all the sweeter in the end. I also appreciated how the movie doesn't rely as heavily on rape/sexual assault as a justification for the heroine's vengeance as a lot of other exploitation films of this era.
