2021 CULT MOVIE CHALLENGE WEEK 52: BAD MOVIE WEEK Where do I even start? For one thing, the poster art is pure bait-and-switch; Although the Vlasic Stork, Twinkie the Kid, and Charlie Tuna do appear (albeit in slightly off-model form) in the actual movie, they are relegated to silent walk-on cameos, with a bunch of fake brand mascots made up solely for the movie taking on the main character duties. This in turn undermines the movie's firm anti-store brand message equating cheaper generic products to literal Nazi-style fascism. The movie really seems to revel in this imagery too, taking every opportunity to have Eva Longoria's inappropriately sexy villainess scream out diatribes about exterminating the undesirables, to an extent that made me kind of wonder who the filmmakers thought they were making this for.
