十日谈 - 评论

I wanted to see this film because I read part of the book by Boccacio these stories come from many years back and wanted to see how they come across on film. The bawdy sex stories are what it's known for, but the stories about death, lies, and violence also come across with a lot of impact I think. I wish moviemakers would cast unknown ordinary-looking people in their films nowadays in the same way Pasolini did to give a sense that we're not watching completely imaginary things, but from the view of people we might pass on the street. He gets the last line here, thinking about imagination and art, which puts a whole different spin on what we just watched.
