When the character title cards started showing up I thought I might be in for a horror retake of "Go," but what this film does with the overlapping character segments is something else. The child v/o at the start / end feels like a bit of a cheat and I wanted just a bit more on the nature of the magic at work. Was the aunt another victim, a witch, some kind of parasite? (bit heavy handed with the multiple cordyceps refs ) Any of those would work, but please pick one. Don't underestimate kids, they pay more attention than you think. And they can be vicious.
