Fun! The title sequence is neat and has a catchy tune. Some ADR line reads are smile-inducing. Harrowing! Two completely unhinged performances that will likely cause anxiety for the faint of heart and very well might be the inspiration for many unhinged character performances that came after, though I'm hesitant to say that many others come close to what's on display here. Titillating! A bathtub scene that goes on for maybe 90 seconds too many. A Bit Odd, Possibly Even Gross? Food-related scenes that also go on for maybe 90-seconds too many. Neat! When that third act hits and the tone has shifted for what's to be the last time, so too does the lighting, and it's enough to make Argento proud. I was between 3.5 and 4 stars, so I slept on it. When I woke up, I was at 3.5, but now that I'm done writing all that, I've talked myself into a 4. What a ride!
