My friend Jesse and I keep a shared watchlist going. On the list, this is labelled as a Revenge film, but I'd forgotten that that's what it was labelled as, so that was actually a nice fun twist I got to experience. Even if I had remembered that going in, however, this goes in directions I didn't expect, so that was also nice. I suspect that subsequent viewings would be rewarding, though this isn't an easy watch; Alex is an absolute terror doing despicable things, and yet he's played so charmingly.
