The Sect has a few genuinely funny touches (the white rabbit channel surfing, that sexy kangaroo poster above Miriam's twin bed, the truckers, the nurse's light touch with the defibrillator) that help to give the horrors a bit more oomph when they hit, though I actually wouldn't've minded a little more gore. Some great camera work on display, too! Frank was a real hero and deserves the Miles Dyson Award for trying to save the day as best he could. Soavi sure likes a hidden passageway and also a beast (perceived or otherwise) gettin' it on with a woman, and manages to make both integral plot points.
