a review of 猎鹿人

It seems that if you start a movie with about 40 minutes of wedding prep, ceremony, and party (this, The Godfather, Steel Magnolias), then I'm just gonna love it. John playing the piano before the boys ship off to 'Nam got me pretty good, and then when he's cooking everyone breakfast at the end... Hot dog the tears were rolling! And those three hours, they just fly by like nothing. War is bad, family and friendships and community are good. What a way to close out another great year of near-weekly movie watching with my good friend.
