The Enchanted - 评论
There's something about the slowness to the storytelling and its setting that really grabbed me. I appreciate that there's a lore to this place that not everyone is privy to and that folks wouldn't (and don't) believe exists until they become a part of it themselves. I really liked that Royce was pretty nonchalant about things, and even rather accepting of Twyla's eccentricities. At times, I was reminded of Michael Mann's The Keep (1983), though the two really don't share much in common at all; perhaps it's just the synth score and the pace of how things unfolded. It won't be for everyone, but it was for me.
