This movie is a bit of a mess. There's melodrama, there's a shape-shifting ghost (the titular Sundel Bolong) involved with the main rape-revenge plot, there's light police work being performed to bring the bad guys to justice while said bad guys attempt to exorcise a grave to prevent the remaining jerks from being killed off. There are a lot of cool moments, but everything is handled with all the seriousness required to create an episode of Scooby-Doo, and I never found myself sure of what I should be feeling.
