Area Zero is a gritty, comic book style fighting game. It features continuously scrolling stages, modern style controls and a hold-to-cancel input system.

Choose 1 of 4 spellbinders and duke it out on the Arcane Sands using each characters unique repertoire of spells.

This is a fast-paced airdasher with rebeats, super jumps, instant blocks, etc.

Controls:

A - Light Attacks

B - Medium Attacks

C - Heavy Attacks

D - Cantrips

Dash - Dashes/Airdashes (Can also use standard double tap inputs)

A+B - Throw

B+C - Mana Burst

A+D - Guard Cancel

1st Level Spells - Special Input + A

2nd Level Spells - Special Input + B (Costs One Bar of Mana)

3rd Level Spells - Special Input + C (Costs Three Bars of Mana)

Spells act as this game's special moves, requiring a unique motion plus button. However, all spells have limited uses as indicated on the HUD below the health bar. These are known as Spell Slots.

Characters:

Wizard - Uses elemental magic to control the mid-range.

Warlock - Uses tricky movement spells and aggression to maintain pressure.

Paladin - Works their way in with armor to deliver devastating strikes and throws.

Druid - Summons fauna and flora to keep a safe distance from the opponent.

Gamma Surge is an 2D anime fighting game in development by @thohil2 and @SeaPotato5 in our free time. 
The game is animated frame by frame, and has 3D backgrounds.

As this game is still in development, there is currently only three playable characters, but there are plans for several in the future, and we will be starting development on the next character as soon as possible. 

Play the game to meet Gamma Surge´s four characters:

Aurora
Aurora is stuck to her phone looking for signal and you have to move around to get it. More signal means more damage, as well as some moves getting larger range.  She is oblivious to the fact that she is fighting, and all her animations try to showcase this, as all of them are non-fighting actions. 

Zoe
Zoe is a Manufactured Deviant capable of somewhat controlling water. She fights using a knife, and a limited supply of water.  She is able to place puddles around the stage by using her specials, which she can take advantage of.

Sarven
Sarven is an Anima living inside a decapitated corpse, using the body to move around. He has the ability to morph and uses this to his advantage by transforming his body into several different shapes to attack. He cannot turn around, and therefore usually attacks on both sides of his body. One side is focused on range, while the other on rushdown. He has mostly quick overhead hitting attacks, and has pretty slow low hitting attacks. Therefore, when fighting Servan you should by default be blocking overhead.

Lilith
Lilith is a human girl who has made a contract with an Anima in the shape of hands, this pact between them looks like a devil pact to outsiders. One of the hands is mainly support, used for blocking, handling etc, while the other one does attacking. Lilith drags around a ball on a chain, this slows her down, but she can use it to har benefit once it is detatched.

Notable System Mechanics:
The game is a 4 button fighter A/B/C/D, where A/B/C are light to heavy attack buttons.

you can press B+C to grab the opponent, both on the ground and in the Air

Gamma Cancel

Pressing A+B+C activates Gamma Cancel, Gamma Cancel is one of Gamma Surge's main mechanics, it costs 50% energy to do and cancels you out of almost any action, including block and hitstun. The only exceptions being getting hit by grabs, supers and counterhitstun .

Surge

Pressing D activates the other of Gamma Surge's main mechanics, Surge. When activated it will stay active for the next 2 seconds, until you hit someone, or until you get hit yourself. While surge is active:

Your next hit will always counterhit You are in counterhit state, this includes not being able to tech grabs You will push the opponent further away when blocking, and you will also build meter while blocking.
Defensive Energy Increase

By timing the D button just before each hit in an opponents combo, you will gain more meter then usual! Note that you cannot hold a button to tech while attempting this.

After receiving some great feedback from the previous build, I've fixed some bugs that were found and managed to do a little bit of character balance too, as well as including a finished version of the Riverside stage.

Patch Notes:

General

- Burst no longer causes damage

- Remove meter build while moving

- Added additional limiters to wall bounce, ground bounce and wall stick moves
- Riverside stage is now officially finished

Jonathan

- Reduced hitstun on 5.HP and 6.LK

- Reduced startup frames on 6.LK from 28 -> 18

- Jon's EX projectile now comes out if normal fire ball is thrown before

- Iceflake is removed when opponent is thrown

TMNTXJL is a fan made fighting game that runs on the I.K.E.M.E.N. Go Engine. The team referred to as "News Team 6" were also responsible for TMNTXJL on the M.U.G.E.N. Engine.

This game takes place during the ending of Justice League Task Force in which a defeated Darkseid escapes to another dimension in search of the Anti-Life equation in which he would use it to dominate any and all universes. Upon learning it is in the dimension he escapes to he makes it his sole mission to find it there. However the very dimension he finds himself in is a parallel universe in which he and all others are seen as comic book characters and nothing more. This very place is populated by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

A fast paced fighting game set in the post apocalypse!

Set many years after the most of the Earth was made uninhabitable by an apocalyptic heatwave! Fight using powerful special moves and assists, and counterattack using the parry system!

MerFight is a 2.5D fighting game involving 12 fishy fighters influenced by a variety of sea life such as angler fish, sharks, and the Yellowtail Fang Blenny with more of an emphasis on flexibility and leniency.

In the earliest of days, the three ancients oversaw all life. The ancients, The Aquatic, The Terrestrial, and The Empyrean were each a transfiguration of 3 separate elements, holding the world in balance. One day, an ancient shark warrior manifested the Celestial Tide, an atmospheric pool of water, causing all those in the land and sky to perish. This action caused The Terrestrial and Empyrean to disappear as well, leaving The Aquatic as the sole life force. As The Aquatic was forced to become all 9 elements, it punished all life in the ocean by forcing them onto the land.

Harmony between the 9 elements hangs by a fine string - this is the story of trying to recapture a balance that is almost undone.

Schwarzerblitz is an indie fighting game written in C++ and running on a custom version of the Irrlicht game engine. The game is completely in English and supports both keyboard and joypad, though the second is highly recommended.

In 2064, a major accident shook the whole Europe: Euterpe, the Italian capitol city, was razed by an explosion of incredible power, followed by a storm of black lightnings. The accounts of the witnesses diverged and no light was shed on the real cause of the disaster.
After a one-year manhunt, the Delta Team has finally found a consistent trail, which leads directly to a secret governative project known as Schwarzerblitz, "the black lightning"...

Cerebrawl is a 2v2 4-player tag-team fighting game currently in development by a small team of six based in Seattle. We've been handling sales on our own website for about a year, but now that our prototype is out we've decided to bring the game to Itch.io!
