“See You Later, Space Island” is a work that makes use of speculative fiction to re-imagine possible futures and cosmologies from the island of Santa Maria, in the Azores, where the construction of the first European space base for launching rockets and microsatellites is planned. Set in a fictional future where the first satellites are already being launched from the island, the film follows the reunion of two friends when one of them, an astrophysicist scientist, returns to Santa Maria to work at an astronomical observatory.

景框內，十八世紀葡萄牙，雌雄莫辨的主角與村裡的男子有染，因而遭到逮捕。景框外，跨性別演員忿忿不平，不解導演為何執意拍攝該名主角所經歷的痛苦與暴力。某天，導演因一股神祕力量癱瘓，躺在床上動彈不得，拍攝也被迫中止；演員作了一個神奇的夢，一切的解答，似乎都在夢中......。
