I Am Not An Animal is an animated comedy series about the only six talking animals in the world, whose cosseted existence in a vivisection unit is turned upside down when they are liberated by animal rights activists.

Having been told they are brother and sister, Crippled Hesther and the dashing Doctor Foggerty lead separate but entwined lives: Hesther languishing in a grim hovel within the Hunderby grounds, whilst the Doctor abides in the grand house…close to his beloved Helene. When puritanical Pastor John arrives to tend Edmund’s wayward flock, he means to punish each and every sinner - but not before he has secured a wife.

The series was made and directed by Peter Baynham. It was produced by Triffic Films and ran on BBC2 in the United Kingdom from May 10 to June 14, 2004. It has also aired on the ABC in Australia.
