Kvarkvare is wrongly accused of activities against the Tsar and is imprisoned, but the Socialist Revolution makes him an imposter "hero". Blinded with the authority, he goes to far in his avenge against the whole village.

Dato, in love with Eka, the daughter of the tax collector Ippolite, finds himself in danger. Surrounded by assailants, Ippolite, in a misunderstanding, believes Dato to be a bandit and attempts to capture him, intending to hand him over to the police. Despite this, Dato and Eka, who have often found themselves in trouble, manage to get married without Ippolite’s consent. Seeing Dato as his son-in-law deeply upsets Ippolite, but as the truth unravels, the happy couple embarks on their honeymoon.

It’s about a 13th-century Georgian legendary avenger, the noble robber Matsi Khvitia, who bravely fought against the princes’ arbitrary rule.

Everyone realizes that they are not very suitable for each other, but the young architect can't get her out of his head.

The White Caravan is a 1963 Soviet black-and-white drama directed by Tamaz Meliava and Eldar Shengelaya. It was entered into the 1964 Cannes Film Festival. Eldar Shengelaia and Tamaz Meliava shot their debut film White Caravan (1964) which showed shepards life, difficulties of their everyday routine, dramatism of contradictions between their wishes and alternatives.

At this period the productive collaboration begins between the famous Georgian scriptwriter Rezo Gabriadze and Eldar Shengelaya, the result was comedies: “Arachveulebrivi Gamopena”(Unusual Exhibition) and “Sherekilebi”(The Mad). The first film is mostly tragic-comical than comic history about the sculptor, whose aspiration for highly artistic masterpieces step by step sacrificed to day-to-day compromises. From the first sight the film “Sherekilebi”(The Eccentrics) is the grotesque fairy-tale about romanticists with the flying idea, but at this time under the warm humor is revealed the opposition of the stomach and the soul, of Philistines and Romanticists, which is actual every time and mostly in 70th years Soviet Union with its dissident movement.
