Three women’s lives intersect in a small town in Uzbekistan following the Second World War. The first, an old woman trapped in a forced marriage; the second, a schoolteacher intent on imposing progress on the remote region; the third, a young woman determined to build her own house without her husband’s or the state’s approval.

男人在家百无聊赖，查看房间觉得少了点什么，外出买回一个巨大的衣柜。将衣柜仔细瞅了一番，男人把地上放的鞋子、墙上挂的帽子以及壁画放到了衣柜，可是因为衣柜实在太大，看起来还是很空。为了填满衣柜，男人将家里摆放在各个位置的物件全搬到了衣柜里，很快，他有了一个颇为满意的“新家”，又在沙发上“惬意地”百无聊赖起来。

The film is devoted to the theme of careful attitude to the nature. It tells us how one of butterflies which are caught by the boy, grows till the huge sizes and the hunter appears in the net. Having tested bondage, the boy lets out the captives.

歌唱家来到练歌房准备练声，见里面矗立着一头巨大的怪兽，吓了一大跳，但他仍走到钢琴前坐下，开始弹奏起钢琴来，这时，怪兽发出不和谐的怪叫，歌唱家回头盯视，怪兽停止发声。
歌唱家以为可以好好地练习歌喉了，哪知他刚开口歌唱，怪兽就又发出更难让人忍受的怪声。无奈，歌唱家开始和怪兽抗争，但终苦苦哀求它手下留情。怪兽并不领情，相反一口将歌唱家吞噬。再张口发出动人的歌声时，怪兽满意地离开了练歌房。
