1970年首张专辑，再版发行

Beverly Glenn-Copeland is already known amongst collectors and music heads for two sought-after albums of folky jazz in the key of Joni. But it was this album, originally self-released on cassette in 1986 that really caught our attention. The album, entirely recorded on DX-7 and TR-707, lies somewhere between digital new-age and (accidentally) early Detroit techno experiments. The inimitable style of BGC here is both peaceful and meditative while simultaneously rhythmic and bass heavy. The album was recorded in the northern Canadian town of Huntsville where BGC was living at the time and is a beautiful fusion of personal vision, technology and place.

First released in 2004 under the pseudonym ‘Phynix’, Primal Prayer’s 8 tracks are a wildly creative fusion of jazz, world, dance and classical influences. Sonically the album is almost without comparison, a life-affirming acknowledgement of the many paths we humans walk to enable us to open our hearts and lives to each other. The album will be reissued by ORG Music and Beverly Glenn-Copeland for release in August 2019.

Beverly Glenn-Copeland has announced a new record. Transmissions: The Music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland is out September 25 via Transgressive, a new label for the singer, composer, and transgender electronic pioneer’s past and future catalog. The career-spanning album is led by the single “River Dreams,” which is Glenn-Copeland’s first new track in over 15 years, according to a press release. Hear it below.
Discussing the new song in a press release, Beverly Glenn-Copeland said:
I feel that music originates from the Universe itself, and it comes to me via something I call the UBS i.e. The Universal Broadcasting System. This song “River Dreams” came to me through the UBS. The song has a feeling to it. It is both calming and interesting because of the unusual time signature which is 17 eighth notes to every bar. Musically that is expressed as 17/8 instead of time signatures with which we are more familiar like 4/4 or 3/4. I recorded it in my home studio sometime in 2019.
