Stanley comes back from the western Indian wars, his editor James Gordon Bennett sends him to Africa to find Dr. David Livingstone, the missing Scottish missionary. Stanley finds Livingstone ("Dr. Livingstone, I presume.") blissfully doling out medicine and religion to the happy natives. His story is at first disbelieved. 1941年12月7日，一群从未梦想过辉煌的年轻人，轰炸了日本的心脏。影片讲述了他们的真实的故事。劳森中尉告别了有身孕的妻子爱伦，和他的战友们在秘密训练之后，开始了他们的真正行动，他们的飞机从航空母舰上起飞，沿海岸线低空飞行，准备抵达日本的上空，实施轰炸计划。在他们顺利完成任务后，他们的飞机出了故障，在迫降的时候，机体严重受损，飞行员也受了伤。中国沿海军民冒死营救他们，在日本兵扑来着前，将他们安全转移。在缺医少药的困境下，成功地实施了手术。当拖着残肢回国的劳森准备断绝与爱妻及友人的联系时，爱伦来到了他的房间，他们庆幸，得以与亲爱的人重逢是他们最大的幸福。
