Bernadette Carroll was born Bernadette Dalia on June 21, 1945 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. In Linden, New Jersey, USA in 1959, Carroll joined with sisters Barbara Allbut, Jiggs Allbut and, Lynda Malzone to form a group called The Starlets. Their first recording, on the Astro label, was "PS I Love You."
