Jackie is a boy who is so trapped by his fears and doubts that he could not communicate with anyone. Then, a magic dragon named Puff comes to help Jackie by taking his soul force on a wonderous voyage to his island of Honah Lee. In the world of the Murkworks where nightmares are made, the evil Synonamess Botch hatches a scheme to make non-stop nightmares. Only Ralph and Mumford, misfits from the cheery land of Frivoli where good dreams are made, can stop him.

這首耳熟能詳的童謠收錄在Peter, Paul and Mary在1963年一張名為”Moving”的大碟內，其後登上流行榜第二位。原來當年Peter有一位大學同學Lenny Lipton有一天坐在Peter的打字機上打了一首詩，就是Puff的部份內容，Peter覺得很有趣，於是就延續將故事寫下去，就成了這首到現今仍為津津樂道的名曲。
但”Puff” 曾被Newsweek Magazine視為隱喻吸毒的歌曲，星架坡就在1963年禁播，Peter在多個場合中多次重申 “Puff” 只是一首講述小孩經歷長大後，童真隨之而去的一首童謠而已。 1981年，Peter, Paul and Mary在加拿大的一次的演唱會中，Peter再次回應這曲的含意 ：
