Britney Spears comeback single is a fact, and she’s ready to slay all your faves and make clear who is the real pop princess once again.
But, this time, she returns with the collaboration of Australian and Grammy nom inated rapper Iggy Azalea upcoming single “Pretty Girls“.
The first news about this collaboration were confirmed during backstage’s interview at Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball when Azalea said that a new single with Britney will be released early 2015.
The song was written by English pop group Little Mix. It was previously announced as one of the registered tracks from Little Mix’s upcoming album, and it features extra credit from Iggy Azalea.
After the raised expectations, Azalea confirmed that she had not recorded any songs with Little Mix. Therefore, everything fit perfectly, confirming that she just made the rap part of the song, and eventually this track has finally recorded by Britney.
“Pretty Girls” was written by George Astasio, Maegan Cottone, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Amelia Kelly Amethyst, Jason Pebworth and Jonathan Christopher Shave.
The highly-anticipated new single will be officially released on digital retailers on 5 May 2015. The music video was directed by Cameron Duddy, and it was filmed on 9 and 10 April in Los Angeles. It will be premiered on 11 May.
Azalea confirmed during a Twitter Q&A on 14 April 2015 that it will be a live performance of the single. Hollywood Life confirmed that they will perform the new single live for the first time during 2015 Billboard Music Awards on 17 May.
The new single is really cool and it’s something more urban, something we have been waiting since “Blackout“, and finally, Britney has left the so boring pop-dance sound. It’s catchy and highly infectious, but “Work Bitch” was much more lethal.
