专集《Quelqu'un m'a dit》的词曲创作和音乐编排主要是由Carla与相识了20年的好友，前Téléphone乐队的吉它手Louis Bertignac两个人共同完成的。 Carla 先把一些录好的歌曲样板寄给Louis Bertignac征求意见， Louis Bertignac二话不说就跑来找Carla， 一边把改编过的音乐编排写下来，一边拿过Carla的吉它， 开始自弹自唱作演示，而Carla也发现， 这正是她要寻找的效果并邀请Louis任其唱片的制作人。 于是，两人就在Carla的家里琢磨歌词和乐曲，Carla 作曲填词， Louis则主要为歌曲作编排和演示，整张专集的词曲和音乐编排在一个半月之内完成， 故Carla戏称该专集为“厨房制作”。
这张专集的音乐介于Jeanne Moreau， Serge Gainsbourg（传统的法国香颂）与Joni Mitchell， Emmylou Harris（美国民摇）之间。 而歌词方面， 则尽显左岸时代的chanson à texte风格。一般歌词与诗歌的区别主要在于韵律格式与副歌的区别， 一般歌词多不遵循传统诗歌的韵律格式写的， Carla的歌词则是尽量遵循传统的风格去写。
