The warmhearted story of Polish immigrant and mathematician Stan Ulam, who moved to the U.S. in the 1930s. Stan deals with the difficul t losses of family and friends all while helping to create the hydrogen bomb and the first computer.

The film’s working title is Lubo and the story, written by the director alongside one of his long-term collaborators Fredo Valla, is based on Mario Cavatore’s novel Il seminatore. Lubo is a street artist, a Swiss gypsy who has his children taken away from him by a state institution. He searches for them relentlessly and sets about taking revenge in his own way, blurring the thin line between good and bad.
