The film focuses primarily on the men who fought and died in the skies above occupied Europe, with numerous examples of individual heroism and extraordinary collective spirit, and Colin learns to fly the key aircraft of the campaign: the Lancaster bomber. But this is also the story of a controversy that has lasted almost 70 years.

To celebrate the centenary of the Royal Air Force, actor Ewan and former RAF pilot Colin McGregor, his brother, take to the skies in some of the world's most iconic planes.
It will quite an adventure as the brothers experience aerial combat at every stage of the RAF's story, from the dawn of the dogfight in World War One, the triumph of the 「The Few」 and the bravery of the 「Bomber Boys」 in World War Two, through to the Cold War and right up to the supersonic jets of today.
