Mario (Tognazzi), a rich and eccentric war hero befriends Marco (Dewaere), a loner with a sailboat and takes him home to meet his estranged wife Cleofe (Lia Tanzi Gabriella) and sexually repressed sister in law Matilde (Muti). Mario confesses his love for Matilde and so ensues a love triangle.

In many ways, 'I Nuovi Mostri' is an extension of Dino Risi's film „I Mostri”. However, its episodes were shot in color whereas the original "Monsters" film was shot in black and white. Most episodes of this film are about human nature especially shortcomings of people which reveal a negative facet of their lives. There are also episodes where the spotlight is on revealing the hypocrisy present in modern society due to strange rules and regulations. For example: an episode features an injured man who cannot be admitted to any hospital as there is no more room in a general hospital, no medical service after 23:00 in an hospital run by nuns and only military personnel with proper identification papers can be given treatment in a military hospital. Italian film 'Viva Italia'! is also known as "I Nuovi Mostri". It is the tale of new Italian monsters who represent weaknesses present in an average Italian. These people have been called "monsters" as their personal interests are always on top of their minds. These are the people who do not hesitate a bit in order to ensure their happiness at the cost of their beloved ones. An excellent film for all those cinema admirers who wish to learn more about Italian way of living.

非常值得关注的是格林纳威采用其他媒介从各方面来补充电影的局限。如铀的原子序数是92，因此主人公一生中会有92只手提箱需要打开或填满，这些手提箱对他的人生具有重要意义。不过影片没有那么多时间让观众查看，他们可以通过CD-ROM随心所欲地一一打开手提箱，检视格林纳威特别设计的各种富有寓意的物品。再如片中的一位角色想重写《一千零一夜》，而电影中不可能让他讲完1001个故事，但整套影片的制作发行周期很可能是1001天，在这段时间里，格林纳威将在网上讲述这些故事。观众想要比较完整地理解格林纳威的作品，就需借助于其他媒介。

Most enjoyable outing from Mr Lenzi and whilst giallo-esquire is really quite a mixed bag. Starting off as a bit of a hippy drippy affair with a young uninhibited couple using their bodies and their guile to get a free holiday, this turns into something much darker. There is real suspense including a splendid Hitchcockian scene in an aviary, lots of nudity and some pretty nasty moments. Irene Papas ( 'Zorba the Greek' and 'Don't Torture a Duckling') lends considerable gravitas with her impressive performance as the mature woman with something of a problem to sort out. Ray Lovelock is appealing as the handsome young man who likes fast cars and faster women but it is the lovely 16 year old Ornella Muti who is always catching the eye. Apparently the almost too perfect nude shots are of a body double but we still get plenty of up the shorts shots as she bends obligingly forward. All three are a great asset and with a decent script and Lenzi's constant inventiveness, this is a fine piece of exploitation cinema.

Dándose a entender que los padres tenían razón. Atrevida película en la España de esos años, que habla de una pareja de jóvenes universitarios que deciden convivir juntos sin casarse, lo que subleva a sus padres y a su profesor de ética. La idea es un período de prueba para ver si están preparados para el matrimonio.
En el film de Pedro Masó se refleja a la perfección que la experiencia prematrimonial no es la panacea para decantarse o no por el matrimonio. En el guión intervino el sacerdote José Luis Martín Descalzo, que también colaboraría dos años después en Un hombre como los demás.
