Fathers and sons, and political exile. In the fall of 1975, Franco is dying but repression continues. Jules and Eve, living well in exile in France, continue to assist the resistance. The underground calls with a job for either, and Eve goes, to the disappointment of their son, Laurent, visiting his parents at their seaside place in Cherbourg and not getting on well with his father. When a road accident in Spain brings tragedy, the father and son's conflict worsens. After Laurent and his girlfriend, Julie, pay a harrowing visit to Jules, Julie stays, taking Jules as a lover. Revelations and admissions about Jules and Eve make way for new ground for Jules and Laurent.

Two escaped convicts are on the run in an unnamed Latin American country. But everywhere they go, they are followed and hounded by a menacing black helicopter.

Final film directed by Joseph Losey, based upon a play by Nell Dunn. The story centers around a group of women from differnet backgrounds who meet regularly in a steam room where everyday issues and personal traumas are revealed and shared.

Challenged by a new student, tutor and theorist Galileo co-opts emerging telescope technology and discovers irrefutable proof of the heretical notion that the earth is not the center of the universe. But in a rigid society ruled by an uneasy alliance of aristocracy and clergy already undermined by the Plague and the Reformation, science is a threat and enlightenment is a luxury. Faced with either death at the hands of the Inquisition or recantation to a hypocritical but all-powerful Papacy, Galileo must choose between his own life and the restless scientific curiosity that he has spurned family, friends, and wealth to pursue.
