《街角的小王子》是台湾首部“宠物愈疗系电影”。片中最重要角色，穿针引线的猫主角“小王子”事实上是由七只小猫轮流扮演的。
单亲家庭的小静（郭碧婷 饰）是美术系学生，是网路上一笔一笔画着猫咪故事的超人气图文画家。但现实生活中，自从母亲过世后，她就一直活在自己封闭的内心。阿军（杨佑宁 饰）是摇滚乐团的吉他手，看似阳光的他乐声中却总是有着难以言说的忧郁。直到有一天当小静遇到一只叫“小王子”的小猫咪，也与这个似曾相识的摇滚乐手相遇，两人的命运渐渐发生了改变。这只街角的奶黄色小猫咪，串起了他们的爱情故事，也揭开了一个十多年来未解的谜。两人也逐渐发现彼此的命运早在十多年前就有着奇异的关联……

The sudden arrival of Han provides a diversion from Ching's monotonous life as the proprietor of the family clock shop. She quickly falls in love with the young man who claims to be her high school classmate, but her bliss proves short-lived as he disappears just as abruptly. Worried, Ching calls Han's parents, only to be told that he died many years ago.

国共内战期间，连长盛鹏（杨佑宁 饰）身负重伤，却意外遇见了孤儿小奉先（邹轩琦 饰），命运的齿轮开始转动，盛鹏、顺子和小范（胡宇威 饰）精心的照顾着小奉先，三人之间产生了真挚的感情。
带着小奉先，盛鹏一行人来到了码头，想要乘船前往台湾。在那里，他偶遇了邱香（郭碧婷 饰）和邱梅（郭采洁 饰）姐妹两，并成为了他们的恩人。来到台湾，人生地不熟的一群人日子过得十分艰苦，他们挤在肮脏狭小的棚户区，过着衣不遮体食不果腹的生活。然而，亲情友情和爱情牢牢的将他们维系在一起，彼此安慰取暖，第一次，这一群并没有血缘关系的人们体会到了家的幸福和温暖。

In the waning years of the Ming Dynasty, the Bruneian Empire offers a rare creature to the nation as a gift. Ocean, a member of the Imperial Secret Police, has been tasked to tame the beast. Though the furry beast appears ferocious on the outside, Ocean discovers that it is kind by nature. Not wanting to turn the beast into a killing machine on the battlefield, Ocean secretly releases the beast into the wild and elopes with Frigid, the daughter of a man executed on false charges.
