After her husband (Dan Aykroyd) leaves her, a shattered Grace decides to be impulsive and live life the way she wants to. She hops on a plane to London in order to attend the funeral of her favourite singer, Victor Fox, a victim of the Crossbow Killer. When she gets there, she meets Victor's secret lover of 20 years, a bitter Dirk Simpson (Rupert Everett), who is determined to avenge Victor's death. Together, the unlikely duo begin their quest, and Grace gradually begins to understand what it means to live life on one's own terms.
