In 1648, Sir Edmund Blackadder, descendant of Prince Edmund Plantagent and currently the sole member of the noble dynasty, is one of two people who stayed loyal to King Charles I after Oliver Cromwell's threat, the other being Baldrick, descendant of a pig farmer and a bearded lady. To protect his liege, Sir Edmund has hid the king (the series has already proven to us that the royals are insane) in Blackadder Hall, but Baldrick unwittingly betrays the ruler when Cromwell arrives at the Hall. Dead on Time is a 1983 British short film directed by Lyndall Hobbs and written by Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson. The film is a comedy which tells the story of Bernard Fripp (Rowan Atkinson) a man who, on attending a routine check-up, is diagnosed by his doctor (Nigel Hawthorne) as having a rare disease leaving him only 30 minutes to live.
By the time he leaves the surgery, he only has 24 minutes left, in which he attempts to live life to the full; taking out his life savings, trying to make peace with God (via Vicar (Jim Broadbent), attempting to learn about the significance of the Mona Lisa, reading the back cover of War and Peace to find out what happens in it, listening to Albinioni's Adagio in G minor and looking for true love.
The film features a large number of cameo parts for actors and actresses, often from the alternative comedy circuit, who would later star in their own comedy series, including Leslie Ash, Adrian Edmondson, Tim McInnerny and Nigel Planer. Richard Curtis makes a brief appearance as an angry cafe customer.

《海的女儿》讲述了小美人鱼爱上人类王子，为了与王子在一起，她牺牲了自己的声音、忍着巨大痛苦把自己变成人类，但王子却与公主结婚了。小美人鱼没有杀死王子以变回美人鱼，而是选择牺牲了自己，最终她得到了一个永恒的灵魂。迪士尼1989年曾将这个故事改编成动画片，不过赋予其一个大团圆的美满结局。
环球版《小美人鱼》（The Little Mermaid）真人电影是乔·怀特在观看“小天使木偶剧团”（The Little Angel Theatre Company）的表演时产生的灵感，其第一稿剧本由《耻辱》（Shame）编剧阿比·摩根（Abi Morgan）完成，之后又由《五十度灰》（50 Shades Of Grey）女编剧凯利·马塞尔（Kelly Marcel）重写。目前该片的编剧是《剪刀手爱德华》（Edward Scissorhands）的女编剧卡罗兰·汤普森（Caroline Thompson）。
