After an elder man gets hit by a stolen car, the police decides to investigate it. The stolen car is later found next to a murdered young girl, prompting Inspector Irene Huss and her co-workers to investigate and slowly get pulled into a world of evil.

Irene Huss finds similar previous cases that will take her to Copenhagen, where she is forced to look for a friend's daughter who disappeared.
