作为音乐剧明星的仓坂澪（天海佑希 饰）一直以百老汇为最终奋斗目标，但是无奈多年奋斗，始终没有在百老汇大放异彩。在事业陷入瓶颈的时候，澪收到了来自自己恩师的委托，邀请她回到她的故乡由芽市重组当地的“香颂合唱团”。由芽市面临着城市的重组，作为其城市活动的中心，昔日地标性建筑“音乐堂”，即将被拆毁改建成大型垃圾处理厂。为了守护市民的天堂，市长的女儿井坂忠子（石田百合子 饰）力挽狂澜，希望重组“香颂合唱团”，作为对改建计划的抵抗。
没有工作的澪在恩师的压力下答应接受这份工作，回到了由芽市。让她大感吃惊的是，参加合唱团的成员不是家庭主妇，就是找不到工作的大学生，或者是工厂的工人等。大家都是外行人，这让澪头疼不已，而“香颂合唱团”就在热热闹闹中开始组建起来……

Satoshi Chii's scheme has also caused Saya Toma and Juichi Ninomae to forget that they are brother and sister. The siblings are headed to a life-staking fight. A girl named Maho Ueno becomes involved in their fight. To protect Maho Ueno, Saya Toma uses "spec".
