a review of 赖皮之宿
Time passes elusively and imperceptibly in this picture. Two filmmakers, whose job is to capture time, become just one of the many elements swept by its flow. They witness youth pass them by, both in the literal sense and in the manifested form of a young girl. Some opportunities are missed, while others come by. Generations of various lifestyles are encountered on the way, until the two protagonists have to witness the end of life and its sort of everlasting continuation. Time is cruel, but is also comforting.
