It&#x27;s a good week to do it because this week, Monsterdon is saving Christmas! Just start the movie on time, watch the hashtag, and post along with us! You can just do it: it&#x27;s free and no one can stop you!</p><p>If you don&#x27;t want to see a bunch of snarky posts about a bad movie, you can mute the hashtag. In the Mastodon web UI, you do this by clicking on the hashtag, selecting the option to mute it, and making a new filter to hide all posts with the hashtag. You&#x27;ll make the Baby Godzilla cry but it&#x27;s okay, Godzilla is tough and all. Not even the entire Japanese army, air force, and navy working together can get Godzilla down, not really.</p>

I&#x27;m not gonna&#x27; lie, I cried a couple times reading these numbers. </p><p>Last year the total was about $2600.00. </p><p>This year... <p>When this post is about 1 hour old, at 7 PM MST, the waves of a <a href="/tags/monsterdon/" rel="tag">#monsterdon</a> will wash over the fediverse. Monsterdon waves are generated by undersea earthquakes, so they can be very large! Luckily most Fediverse software has seawalls that allow you to block hashtags, so do that if you prefer not to be inundated. or Or OR *let* the waves in, *follow* the hashtag, and watch along!</p><p>Tonight, we are watching a movie simply titled &quot;Godzilla.&quot; So, I think it&#x27;s fair to assume that this is the only Godzilla move that exists. I guess we will find out what a &quot;Godzilla&quot; is, and all I can really guess from the trailer is that it must have escaped from Jurassic Park. From the trailer, it also appears that the movie is filmed by Hank Azaria, however, how we can see him filming it while he films it is not clear. Maybe we&#x27;ll find out, or maybe this is just some of that &quot;Movie Magic&quot; they speak of. </p><p>Also whoever cut the trailer is fond of dick jokes apparently, so there&#x27;s that.</p>

<p>Root post for <a href="/tags/monsterdon/" rel="tag">#Monsterdon</a> , <a href="/tags/godzilla/" rel="tag">#Godzilla</a> from 1998 today. I actually remember seeing this one in the theater for some reason. And I mean &quot;I remember that I saw it in the theater,&quot; I don&#x27;t remember much about what happens.
