This volume is dedicated to the beloved Iraqi singer and intellectual Salah Abdel Ghafour (b. 1952), who is heard here on tracks A5, C3 and D1. Sadly, a car accident in Erbil took his life in April, 2013. Salah was Iraqi of Kurdish origin. He had achieved international fame, and recorded dozens of albums - many of them focusing on Iraqi Maqam and heritage music.
The tracks on this collection were selected from Iraqi cassette-tapes and discs found throughout Syria and the Iraqi neighborhoods of Detroit, Michigan between 1995-2010

Aurora Aksnes (born 15 June 1996), known mononymously as Aurora (stylized in all caps), is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, dancer and record producer.

千呼万唤始出来，这张即将于4月份上市的专辑一直在豆瓣上被女歌迷们用附加无数问号和叹号的方式追问着，而更有心急者则悄悄把丁可的DEMO收集起来制成了虚拟的专辑放到了豆瓣上，并得到了一致的好评。的确，新古典音乐的优美构架配合如Chris Garneau般的梦呓吟唱，这样的风格在国内还未曾出现。

这张名为《Island》的专辑一共收录了丁可创作的9首单曲，记录了丁可过往岁月里情感以及生活的点滴。其中诸如"IF" "Orange"这些早已被歌迷们熟知的歌曲，经过内地顶级乐团们的精心演绎以及来自日本的录音师后期的细心“照料”，变的更加清澈，感人，似乎每一个音符上都挂满了清晨的露水，安稳且扎实。此外，在这张专辑中还收录了"Lost" "Petal"这类更为纯粹的作品，丁可在这些作品中摒弃了那些极具诱惑力的演唱，用钢琴与弦乐的对话以及乐段中的空白还原了新古典这种音乐原本的面貌，而在这条路上丁可还将走的更加遥远。

随后，专辑将会陆续登陆摩登天空在各地的销售点，而丁可也会在4月初带上他的专辑踏上专辑的巡演之路，用他忧伤、迷人的音乐在每一个陌生城市的夜晚，感动每一个陌生的你。
