(Sleepwalker) emerge from slumber with "Noč Na Krayu Sveta" a two song/half-hour EP of liquefying hallucinogenic sonic alchemy and transcendental avant-garde excellence. In the vast two-song composition 夢遊病者 morph into their most abstract and defiant state yet, reaching a state of near-ethereal cinematic deconstructionism that only leaves vague traces and queues of their primordial and vast melting pot of influences. Within, black metal, kraut, noise rock, free-jazz, drone, middle-eastern incantations and ritualistic psychedelia are melted down in a lysergic kaleidoscopic frenzy of sounds and then sublimated to reach a new zenith of masterful immateriality which consecrates the band at its most ambitious and confrontational state yet. Challenging the listener's senses and perception at multiple levels, "Noč Na Krayu Sveta" pries the mind open to enter its deepest levels, defying its boundaries and expectations almost with arrogant unpredictability, crossing thresholds of experimentalism and of creative ambition we hadn't yet fathomed in the band's still short but extraordinary career, but which we can now gaze into in complete awe and wonder. The result... something standing astonishingly between Ved Buens Ende, Zeni Geva, Bohren And Der Club of Gore, Galloping Coroners, Urfaust, and The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble.
As with much of the 夢遊病者 catalog, the root entity of inspiration for this release was a person, which then expanded out into the idea of how this person exists in the Sleepwalker universe and interacts with the world old and new. Are they open, kind, selfless, self-sacrificing and good natured—or are they cold, self-protective, brutish and menacing?
Noč Na Krayu Sveta (Night at the Edge of the World) plays with the notion of this dichotomy, interpolating the idea that what comes at night can be both devastating and exhilarating, driven by unsurmountable and inexplicable loss or an ecstatic revelation, an end or a new beginning. In continuing from the last release, to further magnify the self-referential and collaborative spirit of the band—other musicians, friends and fans, even family members were tapped to appear on the album. We are forever humbled and honored by them taking their time to contribute. This was a labor of love, loss, joy and disgust that we hope, in some abstract way, will make its proper connection.

Tracklist
01 geinoh yamashirogumi - osore-zan (mountain of fear)
02 geinoh yamashirogumi - dou no kenbai (copper sword dance)

Prologue : 0 a 2:18
Final (16:13 a fin)
Superbe melodie douce.

Geinoh Yamashirogumi (The Yamashiro Art Group) are a collective of about 200 people working in cultural anthropology, ethology, molecular biology and other related fields. From the 1960s they studied musical cultures from around the world, mastering something like 80 different musical systems. Listen and you would never know they were Japanese as they sing Bulgarian polyphony, or play Balinese gamelan. At the same time they play their own world mix of sounds in a hi-tech environment. Their music is mostly east Asian sounding, a sort of techno-gamelan rock, with Buddhist chanting, thundering Japanese drums or a collection of Tibetan instruments. They are probably best known for creating the soundtrack to the classic animated film 'Akira' an incredible collage of sounds that mixed gamelan with church organ and rock guitar. Osorezan (Ghost Mountain) comes with a health warning as it starts with a chilling scream, before developing into a collage of Japanese voices, gamelan, electric guitars and more weird screams. Track 2 has more vocal styles including shomyo (buddhist chants) and kecak (chanting) from Bali. Truly astonishing.

17 songs for 17 paintings of the forest.
On the 17th September 2021, Anoice, an instrumental music band featuring a dark and cinematic sound, will release their sixth album 'The Hidden Forest'. Because of the effects of the spread of coronavirus, Anoice decided to cancel all upcoming tours in March last year, and after that, released new works from Anoice and the members' solo/side projects; Yuki Murata, RiLF, Films, Mizu Amane, Cru, and Tokyo Ambient Collective and took charge of soundtracks for movies and TV drama series, but have now finally completed Anoice's new album after the longest ever production period in their history.
This album 'The Hidden Forest' took inspiration from 17 paintings of the forest painted by Naoko Okada, and includes 17 songs with the same title as each of the paintings, with a total length of 72 minutes. It consists of mainly beautiful neo-classical songs played by a piano and string quartet such as the first lead single 'a perfect day for a funeral' and 'second coming', and also spectacular songs with dynamic drums like the powerful ground, such as the second lead single 'quiet wish' and 'the promised day' and sometimes quiet ambient music made of collaboration with the nature sounds such as 'into the light' and 'trickery and butterflies'. You can find similar themed melodies and patterns of the codes, with similar instrument formations through the whole album, but no two are identical, just like the leaves of trees within the forest.
In addition, one of the biggest features of this album production process is having used not only recording studios but also power of nature such as forests and rivers. You may be able to feel as though you are standing quietly in the forest via the songs with the sounds of animals such as birds, owls, insects, and flogs and the nature such as wind, water, and squeaking trees which were sometimes recorded in a foggy forest, sometimes in a dark forest in middle of the night, and sometimes in a forest where a strong wind blew.
This album with the tension in the air will be hopefully be remembered in history as one of the most beautiful dark music albums of all time.
The album 'The Hidden Forest' will be released not only on normal jewel case, with a special booklet containing prints of the 17 paintings by Naoko Okada, but also number-limited A4-sized box version which includes separately extraordinary-printed 17 paintings, a visual card which will be enable to access to the digital streaming services for the album, an instant photo, and a copy on compact disc. The instant photos were taken by Anoice's members during their album recording days in the forests is each only one and has signatures by Anoice and Naoko Okada.
We hope you spend a chilled time taking in the 17 paintings whilst listening to the 17 songs which took inspiration from them, and feel The Hidden Forest.
