Holland's most notorious rock musicians have gathered to form DOOL, a dark rock band featuring bassist Job van de Zande and drummer Micha Haring from celebrated cult rockers The Devil's Blood and the country's most infamous rock singer, the striking Ryanne van Dorst. Rounded out by guitarists Nick Polak (Gold) and Reinier Vermeulen (The New Media), DOOL radiates an undeniable raw energy and has created a distinct and dynamic sound right from the start. On the strength of its captivating debut single, "Oweynagat", and a red hot live performance at Roadburn 2016, DOOL has quickly become a hotly-tipped buzz band in underground circles.
DOOL's much anticipated debut album, "Here Now, There Then", is set for release on February 17, 2017, and proves all advance praise to be more than justified. Recorded by producer Pieter Kloos (The Devil's Blood, Motorpsycho), "Here Now, There Then" is an album of supreme songwriting and remarkable musical diversity, blending classic hard rock, gothic pop and psychedelic metal in an ever-surprising manner. Carried by infinite, hypnotic guitar lines, DOOL takes the listener from dark caves, inhabited by ancient ghosts on its debut single "Oweynagat", to the deep abysses of a broken heart on cuts like "Death of Love". From the sensual and teasing ("Words on Paper"), to the imposing and ominous (the 10 minute epic "Vantablack"), DOOL hits every pressure point, striking with the deadly precision of a venomous asp.

2016 release. Eerie Wanda is the name given to the relentlessly memorable recorded results of an album delivered by Croatian/Dutch singer-songwriter Marina Tadic, with a little help from her friends, including the phenomenal rhythm section of Jacco Gardner's band. Throughout the album, Eerie Wanda displays a somewhat magical ability of using somewhat standard song structures as the skeletons of their sound, but replacing the dead marrow of those bones with a unique and enlivening mixture of dizzy joy and sparkling sonic lucidity.

Matador签下 Bettie Serveert第一张专辑"Palomine"的美﹑加的发行权﹐英国与其它国家则是4AD下属的Guernica唱片公司。Carol van Dijk高昂甜美的声音﹑乐团流畅与噪音兼混的吉他风格﹐以及造型突出的封面设计让"Palomine"成为一张好评不断的专辑﹐例如当时Spin杂志便曾赞誉"Palomine"是一张「独立摇滚乐史上听起来最成熟的一张专辑」﹐在英国﹐虽然4AD的老板Ivo非常钟爱Bettie Serveert的音乐﹐甚至表明将不计任何代价留下乐团﹐但是在Bettie Serveert不满意4AD并未对乐团付出足够的宣传之后﹐结束了与4AD的宾主关系转投Beggars Banquet旗下。
1995年1月﹐Bettie Serveert发表了他们的第二张专辑"Lamprey"﹐虽然旋律上没有"Palomine"来的甜美动听﹐但整体仍然明显的表现出乐团在演奏上的进步﹐英国Melody Maker周报曾形容" Lamprey"是当年「最纠缠﹑荒凉﹑真实的吉他之声」。接下来在和Belly﹑ Dinosaur Jr.﹑Buffalo Tom﹑Superchunk﹑Come﹑和Jeff Buckley等乐团紧密的合作巡回演出造势下﹐Bettie Serveert此时的声势已攀上顶点﹐成为非主流乐界中一支重要的美声吉他乐团。
1997年初﹐Bettie Serveert蕴酿许久的第三张专辑"Dust Bunnies"终于问世﹐吉他声响再度缠绵于的旋律美丑的两极端间﹐在Lemonheads般的流畅和铿锵有力错综复杂的编制间游走﹐搭配的是主唱Carol van Dijk更具多样情感的美声表现﹐两年的等待也许是久了点﹐但是等到一张让人沉醉倾听的专辑时又有何遗憾呢?

Amber Arcades is the moniker of Dutch musician Annelotte de Graaf. Having written and recorded songs in a solo setting for some time, she flew out to New York in 2015 and teamed up with producer Ben Greenberg to record her debut album. The album sees de Graaf exploring a new set of influences, presenting floating pop melodies over mantric guitar lines and is set for release in Spring 2016.

'The Uprooted Orchestra'
“Orchestral.” The word’s an adjective, certainly, an unambiguous one. It depicts amassed instruments working in synchrony according to a fixed document prepared in advance.
But what if “orchestral” were uprooted? What if “orchestral” referred to what we heard, not how it was recorded? What if “orchestral” welcomed electronic instruments not just into the pit, but into the compositional process?
For that is the sound of Michel Banabila’s Uprooted, this album of beautiful, striated, patient music — patient on the surface, deep with turmoil underfoot. When bass clarinet and harmonium rise above a misty string section halfway through “Breathe,” that’s orchestral. When woodwinds trill and pulse against piano on “Dragonfly,” that’s orchestral.
Over the years, Banabila has made his share of experimental ambient, wherein future roots cultures are foreseen through a low-tech looking glass. On Uprooted, the tech is transparent. The album has touches of Fourth World, most notably on “Collector” and "Breathe," but Uprooted is orchestral, full stop.
It’s also an album entirely forged of material sampled by Banabila from improvisations by invited musicians. Those samples were then constructed into a whole by Banabila, layered sinuously rather than triggered on a rhythmic grid. The fixed orchestral document here is the recording, and it marks the close of the composer’s efforts, not the start of the performers’.

Dedicated to the life and work of Robert Lax (1915-2000), the American poet who lived on Patmos, Greece, as a self-exiled hermit since the sixties. Jack Kerouac called Lax “one of the great original voices of our times, a Pilgrim in search of beautiful innocence”. The Chi Factory would like to give special thanks to his good Patmian friends Ulf Knaus and Nikos Eliou, who showed us his house on Patmos (everything is still the same since he left) and also his favourite old wooden door (see leaflet). His great minimalistic poetry became a source of inspiration for the Mantra Recordings. His life on Patmos was far away from public attention - quiet and always surrounded by the skies, seas, cats and birds. Lax was a real dreamcatcher.

The third album by the enigmatic Old Tower titled “The Last Eidolon” tells a sombre story of a kingdom laid to waste by its own creator through the corruption of dark magic and possession of destructive spirits. Because of wrongful decisions, spiritual rebellion and the misuse of ancient yet dangerous practices these malevolent forces started to turn against the enchanter. And so fell his once proud and powerful dominion. What was once great has now been reduced to a hollow manifestation of its old self. The long and weary process of reclaiming its former glory has begun...
Throughout the “Grim Alchemy” trilogy, smithed in conspiracy with the mighty Hospital Productions, The Specter meticulously crafted his own style of medieval dark ambient. “The Last Eidolon” is an elongation but also a new direction of this concept and will take the listener on a desolate journey spanning three, long chapters. Faded memories of a dark past will shimmer in and out of existence throughout these epic compositions yet the energy of renewal is flowing from the fountains of the old kingdom.
Profound Lore is proud to present the album on this earthly plane in two different editions. “The Last Eidolon” will come on luxurious double vinyl and compact disc formats and comes with extensive artwork, all richly illustrated and curated by The Specter himself.
