NEBELUNG are a young band from Germany, their music flows from the whispers of nature till the gentleness of Creation. They showed us, how powerful it can be when you're use the term "less is more" correctly.
"Vigil" is the first fulltimealbum of the band, after the EP "mistelteinn". They're singing in german and Stefan Ottos voice is full of sadness but powerful in the end of all. There's no consolation, only solitude and melancholy. "Sturm" stands on the top of all, it's truly stormy. All the lyrics are inspired by the spirit from the turn of the century, three of them are by the famous german writers Gertrud Kolmar, Georg Trakl and Stefan George.
This pure acoustic music is dominated by the guitars but you will find also an bass, an violine and an accordion in it. The songs are like a dark call from the woods. Listen to them on quite places in moments of melancholy. Then maybe you will remember FORSETI, EMPYRIUM or ULVER but there's never the bitter taste of missing authenticity on "Vigil". On the contrary: no other band combines poetry, music and sound so close to a picture of humans in the woods and meadows…

生于1958年Chaumont的Patricia Dallio，从小受到古典音乐及爵士乐的影响极大。
在1979年加入了法国著名新音乐乐团ART ZOYD，成为其keyboard手，在流连于各种艺术剧舞台时，
Patricia Dallio结识了大量的导演、舞美和演员，每个艺术的细节映像在她的脑海中，
并结合ART ZOYD的风格和Neo-classical的影响，其第一张专辑Procession可谓是初露锋芒。

1999年，Lady Morte就已经开始了他的个人音乐计划－Trobar de Morte，Trobar de Morte最初的音乐主要依靠着人声和键盘，灵感来源于中世纪。2002年，Lady Morte为了创作一些真正意义上的中世纪题材的音乐作品，开始和Sathorys的两位成员合作，而暂停了Trobar de Morte。Trobar de Morte与Sathorys的联合也就诞生了众人所知的Ordo Funebris，可是好景不长，一年之后，也就是2003年九月，Ordo Funebris宣告解散，Lady Morte又开始了Trobar de Morte，这个暂停了一年的音乐计划。

2003年12月，Trobar de Morte开始录制他们的第一张作品“Nocturnal Dance of the Dragonfly”（夜晚蜻蜓的舞会 ）。

金乐队Abigo的vocals/keyboards Tharen在1997年建立了这个与金属完全无关的个人计划Dargaard（Dargaard一词来源于奇幻小说龙枪系列中亡灵骑士索斯爵士的居住地，达加堡，一个与索斯一同受到无尽诅咒的黑暗城堡，破碎的外墙上尽是代表罪恶的黑玫瑰，无数受诅咒的精灵怨灵日复一日唱着那首记述当年毁灭情景的歌谣.....）,他想尝试一条新的路径，一条同样通向黑暗的路径。98年，曾经昙花一现出现在abigo 95年专辑Nachthymnen的女主音Elisabeth加入了dargaard.以这个阵容，Dargaard在Napalm records的分支厂牌Draenor Productions下发行了他们第一张专辑"Eternity Rites"，这张darkwave风格的专辑以其庄严宏大的音乐把人们引入了属于剑与魔法的古老世界，那仿佛来自于地底的狰狞邪恶之声，那漂浮与灵动音乐之上的仙音，一个纯粹由键盘与古典乐器建造的虚幻世界。这张专辑非常的成功，而Dargaard的整体风格也由此确立。

第二年8月他们再次进入录音室录制专辑In Nomine Aeternitatis，并于2000年6月发行。这张专辑在保持dargaard style的基础上做了一些细节的变动，去掉了Tharen邪恶的唱腔，整张专辑只会听到Elisabeth的缥缈仙音，对氛围营造更加炉火纯青。2001年发行"The Dissolution of Eternity"，2004年发行专辑Rise and Fall ，保持了一贯的高水准，为一变化的就是他们越来越成熟的技巧。这是一个darkwave迷们不可错过的乐队。每一张专辑都可称为极品。

Narsilion 04年的这张专辑听起来与Stoa, Ophelia's Dream, Dargaard, Dark Sanctuary, Ordo Funebris很有几分相似处, 我不知道该说他们是在模仿stoa们抑或应该说又一个有前途的乐队现身了, 正如他们的封面一般, 可以明显得感觉出新古典音乐的气息, 虽然并不带有革命创新的色彩, 但这种相似也恰是我喜欢的原因.
其中既有Stoa, Ophelia's Dream的气势磅礴, 又复Dark Sanctuary与Dargaard 中世纪般的魔幻力, 且时而呈现出Ordo Funebris音乐传奇般的色彩. Narsilion这张专辑中使用了许多新古典音乐中我最喜欢的几样乐器, 长笛, 小提琴, 鼓. 长笛可以演绎悠远的情致, 小提琴善于谱写忧思, 而鼓我觉得作用很妙, 出于本身的特性, 它能体现力量气势与沉重, 却也同样可以表达哀怨的情绪 ( 这个感觉来自于原Hyperium公司Claire Voyant的同名专辑中第三首Deep ). 在长笛和小提琴的演奏中, 加入鼓点, 似乎有一种放大他们本来体现的情绪的作用.
这张专辑中的人声, 相当部分是起着点缀的作用, 差不多可以当做一种辅助的乐器. 男声低沉厚重, 女声轻柔缥缈, 这一反差不仅没有减低音乐的乐趣, 却增添了音乐的想象力. 我认为总体来说, 这是张继承了新古典音乐前辈们优点的作品.
