This book is very well written but its title is a bit deceiving. Lawrence is only one of many Europeans the book focuses on. I also thought it would contain more non European perspective (honestly I don’t know why I thought it would), but no. Also for some reasons this book feels more biased than Years of MacArthur, which is really strange. I guess because D Clayton James was able to laugh at MacArthur more than Scott Anderson could laugh at Lawrence??? It could just be me though.

That being said I was looking for something very specific. This was still a pretty fun read until I felt it deviates too much from what I want!
