为了给2013年的剧场版第二弹预热，《银魂》推出了第三季TV动画，本次再开的TV动画内容包括以前已经播放过的精选部分以及没有播出过的全新故事。第三季的新故事总共13话，分别为《金魂篇》、《倾城篇》、《尾美一篇》以及最后一话大结局。万事屋、真选组、歌舞伎町以及鬼兵队的回归让广大粉丝期待不已。
