七十年代，城市知青马杰（文章 饰）来到西北某农村插队，被村里漂亮种驴——黑六的叫声吸引。马杰嫌黑六不让他骑，某次工伤在诊所缝针时偷了麻醉剂打给黑六，队长大莲（岳红 饰）以为黑六生病，心急如焚。马杰奇迹般地“治愈”了黑六，赢得大莲和队里的信任，成为牲口饲养员。马杰一边喂驴，一边偷偷与村里的女青年彩凤（白静 饰）相恋。与此同时，马杰对黑六只配种不干活的特殊待遇愈发不满，并对大莲“驴比人值钱”的论调暗自气愤，发泄中竟打坏了黑六的“命根子”。无法配种也不能干活的黑六被马杰宰杀，却没曾想黑六的弟弟，毛驴黑七，从此与马杰不共戴天。人与驴的斗争愈演愈烈。

在偏僻的品川地区，经营着一家没有什么人气的牛郎店“明乌”。这一天店长（室毅 饰）正为头牌跳槽而忧伤不已，万年垫底的直树（菅田将晖 饰）则狂叫着跑了进来。此前欠下一千万日元债务的直树，好不容易通过赌棒球赚到大笔横财。他得意忘形，邀请店长、现役头牌阿葵（城田优 饰）、极度认真的纪夫（若叶龙也 饰）彻夜狂欢。一觉醒来，直树惊讶地发现那笔横财居然不翼而飞。他问遍所有人却根本没人认账，店长忙着把店卖出去，阿葵他们表现的冷漠自私。还有最后12个小时，还不上债的直树面临被扔进东京湾的命运。这时，欠债女孩明子（吉冈里帆 饰）、讨债人山崎（新井浩文 饰）、父亲五郎（佐藤二朗 饰）相继到来，直树的命运将会如何？
