Millions Now Living Will Never Die was the second album by the Chicago-based band, Tortoise. Released in 1996 by Thrill Jockey Records, Millions...' is widely renowned as a groundbreaking album for post-rock: an uncredited review from Outersound.com declares that not long after the album's release, the group was "hailed as godfathers of the American 'post-rock' movement".
The album's title comes from a phrase used in the Jehovah's Witness faith in the early 1900s;

God Is an Astronaut are an instrumental three piece hailing from the Glen of the Downs, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. They formed in 2002 and released their debut album The End of the Beginning the same year on their own Revive Records label. Their two music videos for The End of the Beginning and From Dust to the Beyond, received airplay on MTV UK and on other MTV European networks. All Is Violent, All Is Bright (2005) is the band’s second album. The album features their build ups from serene ambience to searing intensity and is a closer representation of their live sound. The single Fragile from the album has also received plays on MTV2 UK’s 120 minute show and MTV’s “The Comedown” show. God Is an Astronaut released an EP called A Moment Of Stillness in 2006. Their third album, Far From Refuge, was released in April 2007 on Revive Records and as a download via their website at
. They released a self titled album in 2008, and plan to release their fifth album, Age of the Fifth Sun in the summer of 2010.

日本が誇るオルタナティヴ・ロック・バンド、ルミナス・オレンジの、残響レコードから2009年にリリースされたベスト・アルバムに続く約2年ぶりとなる新作オリジナル・アルバム『Songs of Innocence』。結成から約18年目にして、本作に満ちている覇気と躍動感は何だろう？いわゆる「シューゲイザー」と形容されるバンドの多くが、立ち止まりながら「音の壁を塗り込む」ことに腐心している一方で、この「動き続けている」感は明らかに異質だ。
「Song of Innocence」はルミナスの曲のユニークさが顕著に表れている好例だろう。穏やかでポップな曲調だが、サビでの幻想的なソプラノ・パート、そして中盤の意表をつく軽やかな口笛の出現に思わずはっと心奪われる。「Untold」ではソリッドに突進していくドラムとギターが空間を鮮やかに切り裂き、「Sea of Lights」ではギターリフがねじれあうことで「光の海」というタイトルにふさわしい覚醒感に溢れた「光景」が広がっていく。「Autumn Song」ははねるような変則的なリズムと優雅なギターの音色が絡み合う軽やかな楽曲だ。間奏に挿入されるキラめくような電子音が効果的で、前作でのアプローチが巧みに消化されているのがわかる。「Yuekin Spring Moon」は不思議な展開をみせる曲で、見知らぬ場所に一人でつれていかれるかのような先の読めないメロディが面白い。
意表をつくような曲展開や、不思議なコード進行、変拍子など、アイデアの閃きも随所に感じられる。硬軟、緩急のついた展開を見せながらあっという間に過ぎていく濃密な1時間弱ルミナス・オレンジはこれからも動き続けていくはずだ。その最新の軌跡がここには鮮やかに刻み込まれている。

Explosions In The Sky will release its fifth album, titled Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, April 26 on Temporary Residence Ltd. Recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso TX by John Congleton and produced by the band, Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is the West Texas quartet’s first full length studio effort since 2007’s All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone. The record was mixed by Congleton at Austin TX’s Public Hi Fi studio and features artwork by longtime visual collaborator Esteban Rey.
Tickets are on sale now for Explosions In The Sky’s biggest headlining show to date: April 6 at New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall featuring special guests Low and a first ever solo piano performance by Eluvium. The Radio City date is the first confirmed stop on Explosions In The Sky’s forthcoming 2011 tour, whose UK/Europe leg commences May 16 in Dublin and runs through May 25 in Amsterdam. cokiyu, who was born in Ehime, finished her master degree of musicology study in Sonology Depertment of Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo. From her student time, she had created works using Max/MSP, the works like contemporary music for voice and woodwind instruments, and percussion instruments. She started to do live performance in 2002, and opened her works to the public with the web. Since 2006 she hasparticipated in some compilation albums, and also has worked as the vocalist of aus, and in 2007 she became the member of Shugo Tokumaru & The Magic Band as the toy pianist.
