The collection covers b-side and rare material spanning Whip It On, Chain Gang of Love, Pretty in Black and Lust Lust Lust. The release was limited to 500 CD and 500 double 180 gram LP. Rarities/B-Sides marks the first time the 2003 single The Christmas Song has been available on an album, as the song was absent from the 2008 Christmas EP Wishing You a Rave Christmas. Despite the song never being included on an album singer Sune Rose Wagner stated "it has since become our biggest selling song ever with appearances in countless movies, commercials, etc."
Covers released as b-sides or bonus tracks from the period this compilation spans are not included. Specifically Eddie Cochran's C'mon Everybody, Hank Williams' I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, and Buddy Holly's Everyday.
The album art contains various photographs and a poster by contemporary artist and photographer Todd Hido.[5] Hido previously worked with The Raveonettes when he directed the video for the Raven in the Grave single Apparitions.

Arctic Monkeys Live at the Apollo is a live album and video release by the Arctic Monkeys from a 2007 show in Manchester, England.

As one of the most traditional guitar bands to emerge during the Brit-pop era of the mid-’90s, Cast has weathered negative criticism from certain quarters of the media, who labeled them as mere revivalists. But the criticism didn’t prevent Cast from becoming a very, very popular band within Britain following the success of Oasis and Blur. Led by vocalist/guitarist John Power, Cast carved out a sound that was heavily indebted to the British Invasion of the early ’60s, yet it was infused with a mystical, pseudo-hippie lyrical sensibility, which Power expanded upon in all of his interviews.
All Change, Cast’s debut LP was released in 1995 and at the time became the fastest selling debut album on Polydor Records ever. Cast’s second album, Mother Nature Calls, was released in the spring of 1997. Magic Hour, which boasted more refined songwriting, arrived two years later; 2001′s Beetroot became the group’s final album. However, the band reformed in 2010, played live dates in the U.S. and U.K. in 2011 to commemorate All Change’s 15th anniversary and release brand new album Troubled Times with producer John Leckie.

独立乐队Superday继2005年<<超级大日子>>后，推出全新专辑<<超级岁月>>。全新创作概念，关於我们80年代出生、90年代成长这代人的一点一滴，没有了初出茅庐的希冀，增添了成长的无奈。由龙虎门到新著龙虎门、由红白机到 Xbox360、由旧区到大型商场、由杂货店到超级市场…可有想过哪里是下一站？
<<超级岁月>>里带出了90 年代至今，社会过於急速发展的遗憾，由儿时玩意、电玩游戏、本地漫画、本地足球、超级市场袭断、扭曲的消费文化，到近期的旧区重建和保育，都啟发著我们这一代人。个中的感受和看法，我们以简单有趣的故事说出来，音乐风格以pop-punk为主调，亦作了一些新尝试。
Superday於 2002年5月组成，成员几经变动，约于2004年成员固定为三男一女的阵容，三位男成员主要负责鼓、结他和低音结他，而女成员则负责主唱。曲风以简单的 pop-punk再加上可爱的女声主唱为主，亦有一些清新的indie rock作品。歌曲较著重於旋律和歌词，歌词多以生活迭事或有趣故事来带出我们的讯息。没有愤世嫉俗的叫喊，只有生活的点滴，希望听者得到共鸣，就算听不到歌曲中的讯息，也希望引你们发笑，让你知道愤怒原来可以这么可爱。
风格可以算是 cutie pop 与punk pop之混合，因为两者都是成员喜爱的音乐风格，受美国乐队 Green Day影响最大，包括其爽快的节奏，悦耳的流行曲旋律，还有简单而年轻率性的歌词…还有SUM41、BLINK182等乐队。另一方面，香港90年代初的班霸独立乐队AMK对Superday的音乐态度和歌词表达手法，影响亦十分大，歌曲简单直接，讲的故事可爱、可笑，或许可以令人有另一番领会…

兵马司唱片（Maybe Mars） 厂牌的第三张出品，是北京三人乐队Snapline的首张专辑《Party Is Over，Pornostar》。
由歌手陈曦、低音结他手李维思以及结他兼键琴手李青（她也是Carsick Cars 的团员） 所组成的Snapline，他们为当年发起No Beijing乐潮的四支乐团之一。外界把他们概括为一支Post-Punk乐伍，聆听其《Party Is Over，Pornostar》专辑时，总不难寻见师承自Joy Division、P.I.L.、The Cure的音乐熏陶而来，加上他们的歌曲又是全英语主唱，Snapline身上的英伦Post-Punk甚至是Art Punk底蕴之浓烈，乃毋庸置疑。
陈曦的主唱渗着冷冷而内敛的情感，演绎出一份后崩乐队的冷酷；利瓦伊思指上所游走出是典型不过的Post-Punk式Bassline；而李青的吉他弹奏时而扑朔迷离、时而却又筑起Noisenik的音墙。然而一行三人的他们并没有鼓击手，所以Snapline是那种“鼓机结他乐队”。从鼓机输出直击心房的电气化节拍驰骋，也成为了他们在音乐上的特质，甚至由于歌曲节拍的跳脱，故令到其音乐也可以纳入所谓Dance-Punk之类别。
为《Party Is Over，Pornostar》揭开序幕的是“Close Your Cold Eyes”，那宛如糅合了The Cure般由结他勾勒出的迷离氛围与Joy Division的紧凑节奏。然而紧接而来的“Holy Comments”却是由Industrial结他Riff驱动的工业摇滚曲目，陈曦的歌声却来得好比John Lydon般狂放不羁兼且神经质，是足以令人着魔的狂舞乱调。而“Catch You Low”则让急疾的鼓机节拍与连绵的后崩式Bassline丝丝入扣而来，为歌曲提供了一股低调的张力。
Snapline在这张专辑里所构成，是一段分崩离析的音乐里程。“Porno Star”叫人沉溺在其低回、缓慢、混沌而Dubby的曲式，凝聚着一份苍白的无力感，而且李青却在稍后为歌曲绽放出排山倒海而来的结他噪音独奏，相当之慑人心魄。另一方面，追女仔歌曲“Jenny”以及相当跳脱的“S#1”，是不折不扣的Dance -Punk之作；而“Let In”乘着4/4 Upbeat的节拍而来，配上迷离的结他弹奏，感觉可谓跟P.I.L. 的“Death Disco”来得同出一彻。“Single Beat”那简约的Post-Punk / New Wave曲风，又大可联想到Wire呢。要急激的Post-Punk攻略，“Yellow Cab“是他们最狂野的一刻。
外界好像暂时没有人为Snapline扣上Gothic的标签，然而李青一手扑朔迷离的吉他勾线，却不时为他们的歌曲扫上一片Gothic的幽悒色调。所以“S#2”足以跟那群Post-Punk / Gothic元老乐队的快板歌曲作相提并论；缓慢阴郁的Gothic曲目除了上述的“Porno Star”之外，那还有曲如其名地叫人听得眩晕迷幻的“Spinning”吧。
