好幾年前在為Diaries選曲錄音的 時候，我們似乎很果斷地就把這兩首否決掉了。近兩年，好不容易我們也把這兩首歌錄回來了，每次聽的時候，都覺得這兩首歌似乎跟自己沒什麼關係，根本就不覺得這是自己寫過的歌。也許是因為她們實在太孤獨了吧，我的意思是，十多二十歲的自己孤獨得讓現在的自己都快認不出來了，以至於聽著這些歌，就像看著陌生人的照片一樣。
現在呢？不孤獨了嗎？好像也不是。活在這個世界上根本就別想著可以逃離這種狀態。當時的孤獨和現在相比大概是另一種——該值得慶幸嗎？我真的沒有答案。

神戸在住、4人組インディーロック・バンド『The fin.』が、待望の1stフルアルバム『Days With Uncertainty』をリリースする。本作は今年3月にリリースされたEP『Glowing Red On The Shore』同様に、レコーディングからミックスまでをYuto Uchino(Vo/Synth)が行っており、またマスタリングには、Beach Fossils, Wild Nothing, Washed Out, Warpaint, Deerhunterなどのマスタリングを手掛けているJoe Lambertを起用。80?90年代のシンセポップ、シューゲイザーサウンドから、リアルタイムなUSインディーポップの影響や、チルウェーヴなどを経由したサウンドスケープは、既にSoundCloudで公開している「Night Time」を中心にネット上で話題を呼び、日本のみならず海外からも問い合わせ殺到している。新人ながら「FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'14」、「RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2014 in EZO」、「VIVA LA ROCK」などの大型フェスティバルへ出演を果たすなど、新世代バンドの中心的存在となっている。

Brooklyn's Beach Fossils are set to release a new EP, entitled "What A Pleasure", via Captured Tracks on Feb. 22. A track list is yet to surface, but the cover art is featured above and Pitchfork is streaming a song from the EP called "Calyer."
The new track is a slice of low-key psychedelia with with faded vocals, interlocking guitars, an underlying sense of melancholy and yearning for bygone summers. In other words, it's a lot like what we've heard from Beach Fossils before. But why abandon a comfort zone when it sounds this pleasant?

Angel Youth was written, recorded and mastered between April 2017 and April 2018.
