童话 Op.16
1900年一整年苏克都在创造这部《童话》，1907年1月7日由Oskar Nedbal 指挥捷克爱乐首演。在这部作品中，苏克以四个捷克民间童话为题材谱写了四个部分：1.拉多斯与玛克莱娜不灭的爱和他们的悲叹；2.孔雀和天鹅的游戏；3.晨曲；4.露娜因爱破灭的诅咒和崩溃。

布拉格Op.26
1904年春，苏克计划写一部作品来献给布拉格。1904年5月，正在马德里随捷克四重奏团巡演的苏克接到了德沃夏克去世的电报。在请了一位荷兰演奏家接替自己继续巡演后苏克匆匆赶回布拉格为恩师兼岳父送行。尽管他很立即想写一部作品纪念德沃夏克，但是手上这部未完成的作品却让他安不下心。他受到捷克诗人Svatoplukech一首关于1424年布拉格围城战的诗歌《日什卡》（日什卡是胡斯战争中的捷克民族英雄）的启发，将胡斯教徒的一首赞歌《上帝的战士》加以谱曲，同时借用了歌剧《拉多斯》旋律完成了这部作品。

死亡天使交响曲Op.27
德沃夏克去世后，苏克沉浸在巨大的悲痛中。1905年初他开始创作一部作品来表达自己内心对岳父同时也是自己的偶像的巨大哀痛。这部新的交响曲计划分为五乐章，他很快就写好了大概构思并在半年时间里就写好了三个乐章的草稿。就在他开始写了一些第四乐章的片段的时候，“巨大的悲痛压倒了我，我生命中最珍贵的宝卷失去了”（苏克语，指德沃夏克女儿奥蒂丽去世）。在经过很长一段时间的哀伤后，身心疲惫的苏克在1905年7月继续开始创作。他扔掉了积极乐观的第四乐章原稿，同时把交响曲命名为Asrael，即穆斯林神话中引导亡灵走向极乐世界的死亡天使 Israil，他将后两个乐章献给亡妻奥蒂丽。1906年10月4日，全稿终于完成，题献是“对德沃夏克和奥蒂丽最美好的回忆”。“如此的打击可以毁灭一个人，也能重新让一个人坚强。我似乎是遭受了前者般的命运，但是音乐拯救了我。”他写道。这部作品的主要主题来源于Radúz，被用作死亡的主题。他还引用了德沃夏克安魂曲的一些片段，使得作品有了特殊的意义。Asrael是苏克的全部作品中最重要的里程碑：他原来作品中那种晴朗，光明的色彩开始削弱，他复杂的人生经历使他体味了更多的情感。从那时起，他经常思考关于人类存在的基本问题。在所有的捷克作曲家，也许只有诺瓦克在和声及复调的熟练使用上可以与苏克竞争。

夏日传说
失去了亲人的苏克决心振作，他以自己的乡村生活为题材创作了《夏日传说》，这是他创作巅峰时期的代表作，于1907年夏完成。这组组曲是苏克在经受精神打击后对自我的进行慰藉的作品。"生命慰藉之声"是对死亡天使交响曲结尾的照应；“日中”则是夏季阳光下万物欣欣向荣情景的描绘；“盲人音乐家”则是用两只英国号、竖琴和弦乐营造了一个流浪的盲人音乐家的形象；“幽灵的力量”类似圣桑《骷髅之舞》和穆索尔斯基《荒山之夜》，是一幅狂魔乱舞的图景；“夜”则体现了乡村夏夜的静谧。整部作品运用了丰富的音乐色彩来描绘自然场景。这也是苏克最著名的作品之一。

《丰收》开始创作于1912年夏，后因第一次世界大战耽搁，直到1917年才完成。作品描绘了捷克乡村丰收季节的热烈景象。
