My Favourite Faded Fantasy is Damien Rice’s first collection of material in eight years and was produced by Rick Rubin and Rice himself . It is a selection of songs, which Rice says are “sung straight into the metaphorical mirror.” Intimate, frank and revitalized by making music again, My Favourite Faded Fantasy is a record that accepts one’s faults but also begins, perhaps, to appreciate one’s ability to grow up. The recording process began in Los Angeles and finished up with a cast of friends and local musicians against the stunning backdrop of Reykjavik, Iceland.

「Eulogy For Evolution」其實是一張非常特殊的唱片，誠如上一段介紹裡提到，Ólafur Arnalds原來在家鄉Mosfellsbær離雷克雅維克偏壤的一個小鎮上，他同時身兼多支Hardcore樂隊的鼓手職務，理應深受重型搖滾音樂的薰染甚過於古典音樂；可是在「Eulogy For Evolution」這張唱片裡，卻處處見到了半古典音樂編制，鋼琴、提琴與弦樂四重奏的鋪排架構，Ólafur Arnalds玩的是猶如Erik Satie、Claude Debussy等人深鬱的鋼琴樂曲，聽來頗有電影配樂般的壯闊景致。Ólafur Arnalds肯定會被拿來與Sigur Rós等人相作比較，無論從草創時期的音樂涉獵，亦或是其後音樂創作上從容不迫的大器，那都有無數可以比較的理由。專輯裡8首曲目全以4位數字來作為標題，看似時間又像是一套數字密碼，彷彿非得解開其背後的動機，才能完整理解Ólafur Arnalds的創作。專輯中除了3055與終幕曲3704／3837等兩首曲子適切地加入了鼓擊與電吉他的噪音聲浪，其餘6部作品均是以鋼琴、弦樂為對話，靜謐而深刻地描繪著對於環境的讚佩。
開場曲0040即是一首辨識度極高的鋼琴演奏曲，旋律非常耳熟；Ólafur Arnalds十指落於黑白琴鍵上的力量，彷彿主宰著天地宇宙，任憑他撥一片雲、淌一團霧，在哀怨苦楚的弦樂伴奏下，叫我想起的是希臘大師安哲羅普洛斯 (Theo Angelopoulos)的電影。我想若能親臨Ólafur Arnalds與弦樂隊的演出現場，一定會叫自己落淚。0048／0729在濕潤的Reverb所凝結的空間氣氛下，遠處傳來微弱的斑鳩琴的哀鳴，既深刻、亦悲楚。0952裡散落的琴音，與愁雲般的弦樂糾結在一塊，彷彿是怎麼拉扯也散不開。1440若來作為電影配樂，絕對相當契合；Ólafur Arnalds花了許多精力在鋼琴的獨奏鋪排上，總是緩慢、緩慢地勾起了一絲絲懸疑、一絲絲宏偉的史詩架構。專輯中最漫長的旅途1953，Ólafur Arnalds彷彿平復了劇烈的情緒，安分地作為故事的引導者，引領聽者一步步地踏往深處的陰極。3326突然又轉為室內樂曲，透過中、小提琴穿插排列出的層次，呈現與前6首曲子截然不同的氣氛。而終幕曲3704／3837的巧妙鋪設，Hardcore音樂、電子剪輯手法，彷彿電台司令之於 Paranoid Android，那種瘋狂、錯亂的景致，叫人愛不釋手。
多才多藝的Ólafur Arnalds也沒有完全丟下對搖滾樂的熱情，先是替友人的樂團My Summer as a Salvation Soldier擔任多項樂器伴奏，還獲邀為美國Indie-Rock樂團Cursive擔任德國巡迴演出的伴奏樂手。完全無法想像，Ólafur Arnalds這居中的多重音樂性格，哪一個才是原來的自己；又或許是性格冷漠卻喜愛尋求刺激的冰島人，的確有著異於常人的敏銳觸覺。「Eulogy For Evolution」是一張驚心動魄、具有罕見美感的音樂大製作，似乎連唱片封套設計都不敢馬虎。而唱片則交由倫敦新銳音樂廠牌Erased Tapes Records於10月29日發行。

即将出炉的《雨吁》共收录了12首曲目，分别是《静安》、《引》、《禧晤》、《乱战国》、《语虚何以言知》、《雨吁》、《天水》、《山秀谷》、《郑公》、《喜调》、《安》、《尾声再》，光看这些曲名就能猜出整张专辑的古意。在这张灌录于2000年的专辑中窦唯还是以人声来演绎，此后就走向了纯音乐的道路，所以这也是至今窦唯最后一张有歌词的专辑，由于当年他与滚石魔岩产生分歧，这张唱片在录制完成后并没能最终出版。

如果说上个世纪前期，瞎子阿炳的二胡演奏专辑因为没能让演奏者本人在生前得到版税的原因，不能严格的算作其个人作品的话，那么由摩登天空旗下厂牌Badhead为周云蓬推出的专辑《沉默如谜的呼吸》就将成为国内第一张没有任何版权纠纷的"盲人唱片"。

周云蓬，盲诗人、民谣歌手，9岁失明，流在视觉中的最后印象是动物园里的大象用鼻子吹口琴。15岁弹吉他，23岁大学毕业，其后游历十余城市，以弹唱为生，目前定居北京。整张专辑作品优美却不流蜜，简约却不枯燥，黯然却不神伤，深邃却不晦涩，为最具人文气质之作。看似沉默如谜，却仿佛早已窥破命运的秘密。

作品中精美细致的编曲和充满人文色彩的歌词，以及盲人歌手周云蓬极具磁性的深厚的嗓音，给听者描画出一种古旧，恬静的生活画面，同时这些画面又饱含哲理和感伤。《沉默如迷的呼吸》与小河的《飞不高的鸟不落在跑不快的牛的背上》和万晓利的《走过来，走过去》相比，体现出另外一种气质，但仍不失为民谣音乐中的经典。在他这张个人专辑当中充满了没有经过任何做作、与声俱来的人文气质，从整体上而言，虽然歌曲中没有刻意写出华丽唯美的旋律，但却充满了发自心底的真诚。

Ace tidings abound - Lucy Rose has announced her third album ‘Something’s Changing’. The record’s out on 14th July, and comes after she shared The Staves-featuring ‘Floral Dresses’ - the album’s lead single.
The record as a whole is mainly inspired by a slightly bonkers trip Lucy took to Southern America, after a tonne of fans there asked her when she’d be visiting them to play. “If you book me a gig, I’ll come and stay,” she told them, and ended up falling back in love with music along the way.
Accordingly, Lucy Rose’s album comes alongside a fly-on-the-wall documentary, filmed along the way. “The documentary is a big part of this record and I think it explains why that trip was important and why it lead to me making the record that I’ve made,” she explains in a press release. ”The trip gave me confidence to do things like record in just one take and the songs came more easily. The songs just came more naturally after that trip, and from feeling good, and from learning so much about myself. And it’s also that I feel the most comfortable in my own skin that I’ve ever felt in my life. So there is a lot of searching but there’s been a lot of discovery which is on this record as well.”
‘Something’s Changing’ features The Staves, Elena Tonra from Daughter, Bear’s Den’s Marcus Hamblett and Matthew and The Atlas’ Emma Gatrill, and sees Lucy Rose joining Communion Records. She’ll be taking the record on a cinema tour later this year, starting in - you guessed it - South America.

2004年，在没有任何预警下，阿P与Nicole组成的My Little Airport首张专辑《在动物园散步才是正经事》平地一声雷，在香港乐坛爆破，不止急速吸纳了不少乐迷，还为另类乐坛带来了生气。2005年，《只因当时太紧张》承接声势，一首〈GiGi Leung is Dead〉搞到梁咏琪粉丝发癫，再下一城。07年《我们在炎热与抑郁的夏天，无法停止抽烟》见到乐队开始写出带有社会性的〈毕业变成失业〉，以及反主流带点怒意但又幽默的〈indie悲歌〉，My Little Airport成长了，同年，他们还被著名音乐网站allmusic.com选为全球No.1 twee band。来到全新专辑《介乎法国与旺角的诗意》，乐队已经大跳级，不再是你我心目中那队cutie小甜心，更强的社会性，让幽默与抗争两并存地发展，他们终于长大了。

另类音乐应该是怎样的？应该就是保持着反叛、自省、边缘、不为主流所收纳吧。My Little Airport在本年带来〈瓜分林瑞麟三十万薪金〉、〈Donald Tsang, please die〉这些歌曲，碟未出已在YouTube得到共超过10万点击率，更引起社会讨论、传媒追访，连八卦杂志FACE都要「做」My Little Airport，推记者Ivy去瞒骗阿P话某些访问内容唔出街又出街，好在My Little Airport绝不好虾，实时写首〈给face杂志的记者ivy〉放上网响应，据阿P说，Ivy听完歌后，都希望认真想想读传理系毕业的自己，为甚么要做FACE。 《介乎法国与旺角的诗意》还有〈失业抗争歌〉、〈边一个发明了返工〉、〈社会主义青年〉等社会性抗争作品 ，不是一味愤怒叫喊，却在幽默处更令人动容。

这也是My Little Airport最多衰格歌的一次，首推60's girly pop风格的〈湿湿的梦〉，完全是首露骨做爱歌！又有〈穷人卖屎忽〉，是乐队自我宣传广告歌，因为穷所以乜工作都接，只要跟音乐有关便可，唔好以为阿P或Nicole真系卖屎忽。还有商台禁播的〈浪漫九龙塘〉（当年《不设划位》节目话知佢，播了一次），点解禁播？因为歌词中有「爆房」二字，但如果这两个字出自吴君如口，应该冇人禁，想想这个社会的标准，是怎么一回事？算了，这些主流娱乐圈，不是我们的世界，还是回到维港带给大家的喜乐吧，碟中有首〈阿波马草结婚了〉，正正就是维港乐队22cats主音兼结他手阿波和太太马草结婚时，My Little Airport写给两位新人的，还在婚礼上唱了呢，听到的正是现场录音版本，宾客高兴的欢呼就在歌中。音乐，应该是人性的，《介乎法国与旺角的诗意》是一张很人性的唱片，绝不是主流乐坛几个作曲、填词人流水作业工厂式制作的无机物，起码这里没有那些爱到要生要死的怨妇之歌。

Asthmatic Kitty Records is pleased to announce Carrie & Lowell Live, an audio and visual document of Sufjan’s November 9, 2015 performance at North Charleston Performing Arts Center in South Carolina. It is available on YouTube and Vimeo and as an audio download (and streaming) on most digital platforms starting April 28, 2017.
Released in March 2015, Carrie & Lowell is perhaps Sufjan’s bleakest album, tracing the songwriter’s struggle with grief and depression following the sudden death of his mother. To promote the album, Sufjan set out on an extensive worldwide tour, playing almost 100 concerts performing almost exclusively songs from the new record.
The show, which was designed by Marc Janowitz, incorporated an expansive lighting display and cathedral-like LED columns featuring home videos shot by Sufjan’s maternal grandfather, Nick Marabeas. Much of this vintage footage highlights family birthdays, graduations, and weddings of Carrie and her siblings from the late 1940s through the early 1970s, lending the performances the emotional arc of a memorial, celebrating Carrie’s life and meditating on her death with a sweeping transcendence that gave testament to Sufjan’s central thesis of mourning: that in spite of death, we must go on living in fullness and joy.
The live show featured many new interpretations, re-workings and expansions of the songs from Carrie & Lowell, itself a spare album. On stage, acoustic guitars, ukuleles, and piano were augmented by drums and percussion, electronics, and a motley of synthesizers to create an expansive sonic environment that moved from intimate to psychedelic without sacrificing the solemn nature of the material.
Carrie & Lowell Live captures Sufjan at his most vulnerable and persuasive, and it features a proficient, multiple-instrumentalist crew of musicians, including Dawn Landes (vocals, guitar, guitalin, piano, synthesizer, vocoder, percussion), Casey Foubert (vocals, guitar, lap steel, bass, piano, ukulele, synthesizer), Steve Moore (vocals, synthesizer, bass synth, trombone, Casiotone, piano) and James McAlister (drums, percussion, electronics, synthesizer, piano). The live show ends with an expansive 12-minute improvisational jam that looks (and feels) like nothing less than a born-again experience.
